Get a wallet
Download and install the MoonBite wallet. It generates your private key locally — that key never leaves your device. Setup hands you a seed phrase: write it on paper, lock it somewhere safe, and never hand it to anyone. Not a support agent, not this website, not anyone.

Inside the wallet, spin up a new receive address. Mainnet addresses start with moon1; testnet with tmoon1. This is where your mining rewards land. Copy it — the next step needs it.
Mine your first MBITE
Open the miner and paste in your address. It runs RandomX proof-of-work to compete for block rewards. Find a valid block and the whole reward pays straight to your address — no pool, no middleman, no cut. Testnet rewards are up for grabs right now.

The network aims for a new block every 120 seconds. Your odds of finding one track your share of the total hash rate. On testnet, where competition is thin, blocks come fast.

The genesis block subsidy is 10 MBITE, and it halves every 1,650,000 blocks. Total supply is capped at ~33,000,000 MBITE — for all time, no exceptions.
No market value yet
MBITE is pre-mainnet and listed on nothing. The coins you mine now are real chain coins, but they carry no monetary value today. Mine to take part — not because you're expecting a price.
Seed phrase = your coins
Lose the seed phrase and the coins are gone for good. No support team can bring them back — that team doesn't exist. Write it down, keep it offline, back it up.
RandomX PoW
MoonBite runs on RandomX proof-of-work — the CPU-optimized algorithm behind Monero. A plain CPU is the ideal miner: GPUs gain almost nothing and no ASIC exists. The laptop you already own is competitive hardware.
Run a node to go deeper
A full node validates the whole chain on your own machine. Optional for individuals — but it cuts your dependence on third-party servers to zero.
