Three ways to mine MoonBite
Every miner mines the live MBITE chain to an address you choose. The node does the real proof-of-work — you just point it at your wallet.
Browser miner
Opens in this tab. Paste your address, click once, and the explorer mines a block to you. Nothing to download.
Open browser minerInstant miner
Download the launcher for your OS, keep it next to moonbite-miner.py, run it, and paste your address. Needs Python 3.
Desktop miner
One Python file, no dependencies. Full control over explorer URL, block count and pacing. Ideal for scripting a test run.
Download moonbite-miner.pyRun the desktop / instant miner
- Install Python 3 (tick “Add to PATH” on Windows).
- Download
moonbite-miner.pyand your OS launcher into the same folder. - Get a MoonBite address (
moon1…orM…) from your wallet. - Run:
python moonbite-miner.py --address YOUR_ADDRESS— or just double-click the launcher. - Watch blocks land. Press
Ctrl+Cto stop.
MoonBite Core wallet
The real desktop wallet — a full node with a graphical send/receive/mine interface. Runs the true MoonBite Core (v0.21.5.5), generates moon1… addresses, and syncs the chain itself.
tar -xzf moonbite-wallet-linux-x86_64.tar.gz && cd moonbite-walletchmod +x moonbite-qt moonbited moonbite-cli./moonbite-qt— the wallet creates~/.moonbiteon first run.
Linux x86-64 only. On Windows, run it inside WSL2 (Ubuntu 22.04), or use the browser / one-click miner above. See README.txt in the bundle for dependencies and headless-node steps.
Honest note: MoonBite is pre-mainnet — no coins have market value yet.
Mining is enabled by the explorer operator (MINING_ENABLED). If a miner says
“mining endpoint is disabled”, it simply hasn’t been switched on for that chain.
