# MoonBite Wallet — desktop app

The desktop wallet is the MoonBite web wallet in a native window, so it is the
exact same self-custody wallet: BIP39 12-word recovery phrase, real P2WPKH
addresses, on-device keys.

`moonbite-wallet-desktop.py` wraps https://moonbite.org/wallet with pywebview
(Edge WebView2 on Windows). Build a standalone exe:

    pip install pywebview pyinstaller
    pyinstaller --noconsole --noupx --name moonbite-wallet --collect-all webview \
        --version-file ../windows-version-info.txt moonbite-wallet-desktop.py

Build rules (docs/ADR-013-miner-distribution-policy.md): one-directory output
(no `--onefile`, which self-extracts to %TEMP% on every start), `--noupx`
(no runtime packer), and a filled-in Windows version resource. All three are
cheap antivirus false-positive triggers when missing.

The built `moonbite-wallet.exe` is placed in `release/wallet/` and packaged on
its own as `moonbite-wallet-windows-x86_64.zip` by
`deploy/miner/build-windows-bundle.py --artifact wallet`. It is never put in
the miner archive, and the miner is never put in this one.
