# ADR-006 — Fair launch and founder mining disclosure- **Status:** Accepted (rewritten 2026-10-16 for the public-launch chain)- **Date:** 2026-10-16- **Related:** ADR-010 (2-minute blocks, 60-block retarget), ADR-011 (fixed cap), ADR-013 (miner distribution), ADR-014 (founder vault)Times in this document are Central European time (CET/CEST).## DecisionMoonBite launches with no premine, no founder allocation, no dev tax and nohidden mining advantage. Every MBITE that exists is produced by the publicproof-of-work rules in the public source code. The genesis block's reward isunspendable, so the chain starts at zero coins.Earlier relaunches had one unavoidable unfairness: somebody has to mine thefirst blocks, and while difficulty starts at its minimum those blocks comefast. On the 2026-10-16 chain that somebody was the founder, alone, for 212blocks. This chain removes that head start instead of only disclosing it.## Nobody can mine before launch, by rule| | ||---|---|| Public launch | **Saturday 2026-10-17, 07:00 CEST** || Mainnet genesis | `ffe25d9248b7f56d8934719ed5c7357f7595451c4b9d391d9b8377e62a83e39c` || Genesis timestamp | 2026-10-17 09:00 CEST (launch + 2 h), Unix 1792220400 || Network magic | `e2 9b 4d 4d` (nodes on any earlier chain cannot connect) |Every block must be timestamped after its parent, and every node rejects ablock stamped more than 2 hours ahead of its own clock. With the genesis blockstamped 09:00 CEST, the earliest moment a valid block 1 can exist is 07:00CEST, the announced launch. Before that, a node refuses to build or accept one("time-too-new"), so nobody can mine in advance, the founder included. This isenforced by every node, not promised.Anyone can check it: `getblockheader $(getblockhash 0)` shows the genesis`time` of 1792220400.## Founder mining- The founder starts mining at launch, at the same moment as everyone else, with the same miner download from moonbite.org/mine. There is no faster private build.- Every founder block pays the time-locked vault of ADR-014, `moon1qw436kfcvdg70qkkl4lfnt7m9qd79mkzl0js5lnjnqyxfkckw4d5sj26lxq`. Nobody, the founder included, can spend from it before 2029-10-17 07:00 CEST; every node enforces that. Because all founder mining pays this one address, the founder's total is always public.## Earlier chainsEarlier mainnets (genesis `2a5ae281…`, `cabdebc6…`, `3d053c59…`, the interim`18a76cd4…`, the 2026-10-16 `7b93fff9…` and the never-mined `082d5e52…`) areretired. Nothing mined on them exists on this chain, and every balance on them, the founder's included, is void. The `7b93fff9` chain reached height 212,every block mined by the founder before any announcement; it was retired sothat this launch could start with nobody ahead. `082d5e52` was a genesis for alaunch a week later; it was replaced, unmined, when the launch moved to2026-10-17. Retired chain data is archived, not carried forward.## Commitments- Founder mining pays only the ADR-014 vault. Changing that address, or moving founder coins, needs a new ADR published before it happens.- Any change to these commitments is recorded as a new ADR before it happens, never after.- This file is updated after launch with the height of the first block found by a miner other than the founder, and the height at which block times first settle near 2 minutes.## Log| Date (CEST) | Height | Note ||---|---|---|| 2026-10-16 | 0 | Chain reset for the public launch.
